Order cancelled with no notice …
Gusto used to be great and we forgive the poor customer service and missing ingredients. However it's been happening more frequently and today at 7pm our box still hasn't arrived. The chat function to complain is awful and once you exit it you can't get back on or see the chat. When I got through they just said there was an error and my order had been cancelled. They offered me a meal credit but that's no good if you can't trust the food to arrive or Gusto to tell you whats happening.I am at home with children and I live in the countryside so no food in the house and I can't go out. I asked for my delivery to arrive tomorrow and just got 0 reply, . Truly poor customer service.

Now with %100 extra Joe Wicks
Price went up but Joe Wicks hasn't been removed so times can't be that hard, won't be using them until it gets cheaper, if they claim it can't be cheaper yet still use Joe Wicks for marketing (Paying him) it's a lie, just call them "Healthy choices" or something and save us all money.

Missing Items and Missed Delivery Dates
Recipes are great but the problems are constant, many missing items from the boxes, short use by dates and missed deliveries, there is a lack of quality control in checking boxes. Gousto offer a £1 credit on the app for missing items. What they forget is the whole meal is ruined with a missing item. Then we have the delivery issues, this is now the 2nd consecutive week that Gousto haven’t shipped our order for a Wednesday delivery, no warning until the day of delivery then we receive a very sorry your box won’t arrive until Thursday email, they cite staffing issues, sesame seed contamination, amongst other things, in my many phone calls, I have even been told to goto the butchers to buy fresh chicken, when a use by date was so short the chicken was unusable and stunk. I seem to spend most of my time on the phone, to what appears to be an offshore call center, who really can’t do a lot apart from apologise. Is this a company who have advertised on TV and now can’t keep up with demand.

Best meal box
Great selection of meals, good quality food, easy to follow recipes and reduces food waste! Great customer service much better than Hello Fresh! Can’t fault them.

Rotten chicken.
Twice now we have received chicken that has been rotten, and mince that has had one day left on the used by date. We did enjoy this company but have now lost all confidence and have cancelled our subscription.

My second week with Gousto
This is my second week with Gousto, I am finding this to be a bit of a game changer, I now don’t struggle for something different for tea every night. I also like the quick meals and not finding I have forgotten a particular ingredient while shopping. However, I did today find a mouldy cucumber today which was unappealing. But a quick message to Gousto and for my midi cucumber I not only had an apology but also a credit. Also several meals I have had I will be ordering again. I keep meaning to take photos but to be honest end up eating them, then remembering a picture lol.

Gusto - great start but then they drop the ball
Started off OK but then started to get 'out for delivery', tracking showed 'awaiting parcel', then email on delivery day saying 'delivery will be tomorrow' then emails saying 'some of the shelf life of products is shorter than normal'. Now, this happening once can be forgiven BUT every week? Then, when you cancel they tell you that you cannot have your credit back as it was allocated to the delivery you are not getting! Shambles of a company, beware!

Very poor customer service
I signed up with Gousto in February 2019, and I loved the recipes and the convenience. A couple of times I would receive the wrong box, or no box, or a wrong ingredient, but I could overlook all of this and in many cases didn't even report the matter to Gousto.

One of the key advantages for me was the subscription service and I liked knowing that even should I forget to place an order, that I would still get a box.

Then a few weeks ago it went downhill, and very fast. I received a box consisting of fish meals. I don't eat fish and have never ordered a fish meal in the 3 and a half year so I contacted Gousto and asked if there was a way for my preferences to be updated to prevent me from receiving a box of food that I don't eat. I received a long and rambling email in response.

Before I could really get my head around what was being suggested, I received the next box. This time all vegetarian meals, and I am not a vegetarian. Again I contact Gousto asking for my boxes to reflect my previous orders. After a short exchange with Gousto where they explained to me why I was wrong and they were right, and not offering any real solutions to the problems I identified, I thought it best to cancel my account.

I received a very nice email from Gousto saying how sad they are to see me go and if there is anything they can do to retain me as a customer. I responded saying that all I wanted all the way through was that - should I forget to choose recipes and I receive a subscription box - that it should reflect my previous orders and my dietary preferences. I was rather optimistic that the little disagreement will be behind us and they will be able to come up with a suggestion.

However, in response my email bounced back saying that the ticket is closed.

Gousto, like so many big companies out there, are not in business to provide a service and the only value a customer has for them is that credit card number they so desire. Should things go wrong, they are only interested in minimising risk to themselves.

As for valuing a customer, that doesn't seem to have made it on to the mission statement. Clearly it was always about my credit card, but never about me.

Don't give us your 'saving the planet' bs!
I am SO disappointed in Gousto! After 8 years with them , and generally being really pleased (apart from the odd missing ingredient), they have now decided - apparently in a bid to reduce their packaging - to stop providing the small ingredients in individual bags. The whole point of Gousto is to make it EASIER for the customer! I don't have time to go searching for the ingredients! I may as well buy from the supermarket for that! And I am NOT buying their 'packaging pledge'! It always amazes me that the ice packs are just plastic - HIDDEN in a brown paper bag presumably in a bid to disguise the plastic! And ALL the little ingredient extras are in plastic too! Nonsense reason - and they are going to lose a LOT of custom

Clueless Customer service
Had been ordering with gousto for a few weeks and really loving it. Fresh ingredients and great recipes. Then this week I receive an email telling me the day before my order is due that it has been cancelled due to allergens. (my subscription states I have no allergens) and that I will get a full refund and 20% off my next order. Then I received a text to say my order was out for delivery but they had to substitute an ingredient. I waited in all day on my day off-no delivery. When I tracked my box it said it was waiting for despatch from Yodel. I contacted Gousto to be told that yes indeed it was with Yodel. By this time it was 7pm still no delivery-no food. I contacted yodel who first of all told me they had no drivers for delivery then they said it was still at the gousto warehouse. I then contacted gousto again to be told that it was with Yodel and they would contact them to arrange delivery again on the same day. So far I have heard nothing. I do not have my food. I do not have a refund. I do not have 20% off my next order. The communication for customer services is appalling leaving no resolution. Unfortunately I will reluctantly cancel my subscription due to poor customer service.
